稀有夏候鳥「董雞」愛台南 山區、濱海相繼現身

夏候鳥「董雞」（別名：鶴秧雞、田董）相當稀有，連專門拍鳥的攝影家都很難找到牠的蹤跡，沒想到5月底鳥友先在台南東山區發現1隻董雞，前2天又在將軍區一處田地拍攝到3隻董雞，山區、濱海都有董雞身影，吸引許多鳥友關注。

據了解，董雞主要分佈於南亞、東南亞一帶，在台灣屬於夏候鳥，夏天會飛到台灣、大陸、朝鮮半島等東亞地區繁殖，多半棲息於沼澤、稻田等濕地，生性隱蔽，近年來幾乎無相關記錄，只有宜蘭、屏東等地偶有零星記錄，十分罕見。
日前文史工作者段洪坤在東山吉貝耍部落發現董雞，鳥友都相當興奮，沒想到鳥類攝影家吳素娥在20日時，又在濱海的將軍區拍攝到董雞家族，吳素娥說，當時無意間聽到「董~董~董…」的叫聲，還以為是自己幻聽，用鏡頭四處搜尋，果然看到董雞出現，讓她相當驚喜。
董雞很膽小，常躲在高大茂盛的草叢中，只露出一個頭。 (鳥友吳素娥提供 )。
吳素娥拍到的董雞共有3隻，包括1隻公成鳥、1隻母成鳥，另外還有1隻轉換繁殖羽中的公亞成鳥，很像是同一家族，可能是在台灣繁殖，有機會在此孵蛋或育雛，但牠們都躲在很高的草叢內，不太容易觀察。
台南市生態保育學會理事長邱仁武表示，董雞主要棲息在沼澤、稻田，以水生昆蟲為主食，因為農藥氾濫以及棲地遭破壞，近年在台灣變成稀有的夏候鳥，生性膽小，在繁殖期間，公鳥常發出響亮的鳴唱聲，農民稱之為「田董」，也因而得名；進入6月夏季，台南市山區海邊竟然先後發現「董雞」，希望農民減少使用農藥，讓董雞等夏候鳥鳥類能夠來棲息繁殖下一代。
