明金城驟逝 30年好兄弟曾國城崩潰：他還當我的伴郎

明金城過世，曾國城難以接受
明金城9日傳出因心肌梗塞過世，消息來得太突然，讓許多演藝圈的好友無法接受。好友曾國城就提到，自己跟明金城認識將近30年，「一退伍就認識了，我的婚禮他還當我的伴郎，從他在夜店當bartender 到演員，再當上搶手級的導演，也因為工作關係漸漸地聚少離多。」沒想到發生憾事，讓他難以接受。
曾國城提到，10幾年前明金城罹患憂鬱症，「所有朋友兄弟都很關心他的身體健康，常常輪流叫他出來走走，那時候如果他的好哥們庹宗康跟屈中恆叫不動他，應該也沒人叫得動他了吧！」直到2017年明金城結婚，曾國城回憶道，「就是明金城迎向身心健康、幸福人生的最好證明，他的老婆Patty功不可沒！」
曾國城難受透露，「剛過完虎年春節，又剛生下一對龍鳳胎，根本就是龍虎鳳，這是多吉祥的好事、好兆頭！」他跟明金城同樣年過半百，非常了解這是多麼值得開心祝福的事情，但沒想到對方突然離開，「真的很難過⋯我覺得現在最需要關心的就是他太太Patty，在一個月內遇上這樣的大喜大悲，就算是為母則強，也不知道該如何面對吧。」
