台南市長黃偉哲於2日晚上6時抵達台灣祀典武廟參加「火神護祐平安祈福點燈活動」，期間並與在場之警消人員一同宣導，除提醒市民重視防火防災之重要，並針對警察局於1日起執行為期30日之「加強重要節日安全維護工作」，以「治安平穩、交通順暢、民眾安心」三大工作主軸，也向台南市政府警察局第二分局員警勉勵及一同來賣力宣導。也在市長離開活動結束後，現場執勤之中正派出所所長沈振莘等員警返所途中，竟立即在加油站內查獲吸食及持有愷他命之何姓毒犯1名，查扣愷他命3.47公克，經帶回派出所實施毒品及尿液檢驗均呈現陽性反應，全案依毒品危害防制條例調查偵辦。

第二分局中正派出所所長沈振莘、警員洪培峰在執行點燈活動勤務結束返所途中，於19時30分許行經府前路二段之加油站時，眼尖的兩人發現1男子竟在加油站內暗處抽菸，員警恐有危害公共安全之虞立即上前瞭解。不料該何姓男子一見員警機車警示燈靠近，急忙使出「彈指神功」將手中香菸彈丟進運河中，但周邊濃濃之愷他命毒品菸味瀰漫，警員洪培峰一句：「大哥，都看到了！你這年紀還在吸食愷他命哦……」。也讓何男(40歲、臺中人、有毒品素行)愣住傻笑並央請員警輕饒。案經員警查知其係因在KTV內與友人歡唱，因一時想吸食毒菸，但又怕店家報警，乃一人走出至對面加油站暗處吸菸，不料竟為員警騎機車經過查見。經逐一檢視其身上攜行物品，又在其口袋起獲K盤內裝有愷他命3.47公克，經帶回派出所實施毒品及尿液檢驗均呈現陽性反應，全案依毒品危害防制條例調查偵辦。

第二分局表示，為期30日的「加強重要節日安全維護工作」已於1月1日22時起展開，全體員警除持續執行「治安平穩、交通順暢、民眾安心」工作外，將特別著重在「清樓打詐、安居緝毒」，並運用科技執法，透過大數據分析整合第三方警政及民間力量，讓每位市民安心、快樂迎接新年。
