「我來做，慧更好！」 最美觀旅局長郭貞慧宣布投入台南立委初選

郭貞慧今日召開記者會宣布投入台南市第一選區立委初選（圖＿郭貞慧臉書）。
台南市觀旅局長郭貞慧日前已向市府遞出辭呈，今（8）正式在立法院召開記者會，宣布投入台南市第一選區立委初選，將對決現任立委賴惠員。郭貞慧表示，民進黨主席賴清德強調，此次「不會有現任優先」條款，有志於服務故鄉的人才，都要經過黨內初選；她認為，黨內初選不是鬥爭，民進黨要讓選民看到改革決心，因此她義無反顧。
今年初，郭貞慧陸續在該選區掛出與賴清德合體的「信賴台灣」競選看板，與賴慧員隔空較勁。今日在記者會上亮出「我來做，慧更好」、「最強新人，前進立法院」以及「最貞傾聽」等口號。
郭貞慧在記者會上表示，去年民進黨在九合一選舉遭逢挫敗，許多有志之士與賴清德主席都認為黨需要改革，本土派需要新血的投入。他在第一時間就響應賴主席的號召，期盼他的參選能吸引更多有熱情、有專業的新血共同投入黨內初選。
郭貞慧特別指出，擔任觀旅局長期間，他努力將溪北的觀光行銷到全國，溪北地區的觀光與知名度有了顯著的成長。過去一直有地方鄉親告訴他，溪北地區需要翻轉，他深深地感受到大家對於溪北地區革新的期待。郭貞慧表示，他已經準備好為溪北付出更多努力了。
民進黨立委林宜瑾、林靜儀及台南市長黃偉哲皆透過影片給予支持。黃偉哲表示，觀旅局人員以及市民朋對於郭貞慧都豎起大拇指，她任內的表現令大家印象深刻。
