星雲大師茶毘「驚人發現」 佛光山：舍利子數量多到難以計算

佛光山星雲大師生前曾說「我沒有舍利子」，然而在昨（13）日荼毘圓滿後，佛光山表示，星雲大師不僅燒出舍利子且數量「多到難以計數」。
佛光山星雲法師2月5日安詳捨報於佛光山傳燈樓開山寮，享耆壽97歲，圓寂讚頌典禮在昨（13）日於高雄佛光山雲居樓舉行，並於典禮完成後，發引台南白河大仙寺荼毘。抵達大仙寺後，進入火化場進行荼毘儀式，並預計於傍晚時返回佛光山，完成荼毘後，星雲大師也將永久安葬佛光山萬壽園。

佛光山表示，在荼毘儀式經過3個多小時後，弟子在整理舍利靈骨時發現，許多清淨白皙、光滑圓潤，宛如珍珠般大小的圓形結晶舍利子，有些散落、有些則坎在潔白的遺骨舍利中，更有無數小舍利子，數量多到難以計算。

佛光山也強調，星雲大師燒出舍利子，是大師一生修持，利益眾生的功德，自然感得的結果。至於星雲大師曾說自己沒有舍利子，佛光山指出是大師希望世人對佛法的認知應回到根本，而不是在有形、有相上求，不強調舍利子的信仰。一如大師曾說過，只有道德才是取之不盡，用之不竭的寶藏；能夠求證空無的真理，更是究竟解脫之道。
